Elastimold N0290 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the Elastimold N0290 and what cable size does it take?
The N0290 is an Elastimold two-hole spade connector for use at 15 through 35 kV, sized for 300 MCM conductor. It is the lug-style termination end, so the cable size you order against is the 300 MCM called out in the part description.
2) Will the Elastimold N0290 work on a 15 kV system as well as 25 kV and 35 kV?
Yes. The N0290 is rated across the 15 to 35 kV band, so the same part covers 15 kV, 25 kV and 35 kV class terminations provided the conductor is 300 MCM.
3) If my feeder is not 300 MCM, can I still use the N0290?
No. The N0290 is built for 300 MCM conductor only. For any other conductor size you need the matching Elastimold spade connector for that size rather than forcing this one onto a smaller or larger cable.
4) Is the N0290 a one-hole or two-hole lug?
Two-hole. The 2H designation in the N0290 means a two-hole spade pad, which resists rotation on a bus or pad connection compared with a single-hole lug.
