Metallics RTS19 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What size is the Metallics RTS19 rubber tarp strap?
The RTS19 is a 15 inch rubber tarp strap. That length is the nominal strap size, so plan your tie-down points around a 15 inch strap stretched between them.
2) Is there more than one size or model of the Metallics RTS19 tarp strap to choose from?
No options to pick. The RTS19 is sold as a single model, the 15 inch rubber strap. If you need a different reach, you are looking for a different Metallics tarp strap part number rather than an option on this one.
3) What is a rubber tarp strap used for on a job site?
Rubber tarp straps like the Metallics RTS19 are stretch tie-downs. Crews use them to hold tarps over material stacks and open truck beds, bundle conduit, hose or cable for transport, and keep covers from lifting in wind. The rubber body stretches to take up slack and keeps tension as the load shifts, which is why they get used instead of rope on anything that needs to come off and go back on repeatedly.
