The Viega 15538 is a reducing press tee sized 2 inch x 2 inch x 1/2 inch. The run is 2 inch on both ends and the branch drops to 1/2 inch, so it's the fitting you use to pull a small branch (a fixture drop, a hose bibb, a gauge or sensor tap) off a 2 inch copper main without adding a reducer and a coupling.

Have both on the lift before you set the tee, because the 2 inch run ends are the awkward ones and you don't want to press the branch first and lose your working angle.
