Metallics CGS16 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Can I use cold galv spray to touch up cut ends of galvanized rigid conduit?
Yes, that is the normal use for a can of CGS16. Field cutting and threading RMC or IMC exposes bare steel at the cut, and a cold galvanizing spray puts zinc back over it. Clean the cut and knock off burrs and cutting oil before spraying so the coating bonds.
