Metallics MHOK24C – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What is the Metallics MHOK24C knock-on beam clamp used for?
The MHOK24C is a knock-on spring steel beam clamp sized for flange thicknesses of 1/8 to 1/4 inch. It taps onto the edge of a structural beam or bar joist flange and grips under spring tension, giving you a hanger point for electrical support work without drilling or welding the steel.
2) Do I need tools or fasteners to install a knock-on spring steel beam clamp?
A knock-on clamp like the MHOK24C is driven onto the flange edge with a hammer, so no drilling, tapping, or welding of the structural steel is required and no separate fastener holds it in place. The spring steel body supplies the clamping force itself.
3) Is the MHOK24C one piece, or do I order anything with it?
The MHOK24C is a single orderable item with one model, the clamp itself. Whatever you hang from it, rod, wire, or conduit strap, is a separate purchase.
