1) Will a 2-1/2 inch LB body thread onto EMT or PVC conduit?
No. The SALB-7 is built for threaded rigid metal and IMC conduit. EMT and PVC are not threaded the same way, so you would need EMT-to-rigid adapters or a PVC LB body for those systems.
2) Does the Red Dot SALB-7 come with a cover and gasket, or do I order those separately?
Body, cover and gasket all ship together under part number SALB-7. Nothing additional is needed to close it up, though you will still supply your own conduit, locknuts or bushings as the run requires.
3) Is an aluminum LB conduit body OK for an outdoor service entrance?
The SALB-7 is die cast aluminum with a gasketed cover, which is the standard choice for exterior service entrance and conduit transitions on rigid or IMC. Keep in mind aluminum does not pair well with direct burial in corrosive soil or with masonry contact without protection, and avoid mixing it where galvanic action with dissimilar metals is a concern.
