1) Will the Red Dot BT-6 conduit body work with 2 inch EMT, or is it for rigid conduit?
The BT-6 is an EMT fitting, built for 2 inch EMT conduit. It takes the EMT compression/setscrew-style hubs of Red Dot's Series B line, so it is not a threaded rigid or IMC conduit body. If the run is threaded rigid, you need a threaded Form 8 or similar T body instead.
2) Can I use the Red Dot BT-6 on a 1-1/2 inch or 2-1/2 inch EMT run?
No. The BT-6 is sized for 2 inch EMT only. For other trade sizes you need the matching size in Red Dot's Series B T-body line, since the hub size is fixed and cannot be adapted at the body.
3) Is the Red Dot BT-6 conduit body metal or plastic?
Die cast aluminum. That keeps it light on a 2 inch run and gives a corrosion-resistant body for outdoor and damp-location work, while maintaining metallic continuity with the EMT system.
