Metallics DT2SLB – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is Metallics DT2SLB used for on a buried sewer line?
It's detectable underground marking tape for sewer runs: the 2 inch by 1000 foot roll is laid in the trench above the line so the run can be located later with a metal detector or locator and so anyone excavating sees it before reaching the pipe.
2) What part number do I order for Metallics 2 inch detectable sewer marking tape?
Order Metallics DT2SLB. That single manufacturer part number covers the 2 inch by 1000 foot roll, so there is no finish, color code, or length suffix to add on the order.
