1) What is the Viega MegaPress 25080 coupling used for?
The Viega 25080 is a 1 inch x 1 inch MegaPress extended coupling in carbon steel, press-connect on both ends (P1 x P2). It joins two runs of 1 inch black iron / carbon steel pipe with a cold press connection instead of threading or welding. Because it is the extended, no-stop version, there is no internal shoulder, so it slides fully over the pipe end, which is what you want for repairs and tie-ins where you cannot pull the pipe apart.
2) Why would I order a no-stop coupling instead of a standard MegaPress coupling?
