2) Is an LB conduit body the right fitting for bringing a 3-1/2 inch conduit run through an exterior wall?
That's exactly what an LB is for. The back opening lets the conduit come through the wall and the side opening turns the run 90 degrees down or along the wall, with a removable cover so you can pull conductors through the elbow. On the Red Dot DALB-9-CG, a gasketed cover seals the opening. If you need the turn to go up or to the side instead, you want an LL, LR, or T body rather than an LB.
3) Will the Red Dot DALB-9-CG work with EMT or PVC conduit?
No. The DALB-9-CG is a threaded Series A body for rigid and IMC conduit. EMT and PVC runs need their own fitting systems, or an adapter that converts to threaded rigid before the body.
