1) Does the Red Dot DALB-7-CG come with a cover and gasket, or do I order those separately?
Cover and gasket are included with the DALB-7-CG, which is what the CG suffix indicates. You do not need to add a separate cover kit to close the body out. Conduit, locknuts, and bushings are not part of the package.
2) Will the Red Dot DALB-7-CG work with EMT?
No. The DALB-7-CG is a Series A body for rigid and IMC conduit, with threaded hubs. EMT is unthreaded and needs either an EMT-specific conduit body or a threaded adapter on the EMT before it can land on this fitting.
3) Can a 2-1/2 inch LB conduit body be used outdoors or in a wet location?
The DALB-7-CG ships with a gasket under its cover, which is the arrangement used where a conduit body needs to seal against weather at the cover joint. The body itself is die cast aluminum. For an outdoor wall penetration, the sealing also depends on your threaded hub connections being made up tight with the conduit.
4) What is an LB conduit body used for, and when should I use an LL or LR instead?
An LB like the DALB-7-CG turns the conduit run back toward the wall, so the opening faces out while the run goes behind it. That is the body you use where conduit comes down a wall and penetrates through it. LL and LR bodies turn left or right within the plane of the wall instead, and a T body splits the run three ways. Pick by the direction the conduit needs to leave the fitting, not by what is on the shelf.
