Thomas & Betts NC302 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the Thomas & Betts NC302 connector used for?
The NC302 is a 3/4 inch clamp type connector for terminating non-metallic sheathed cable (NM) and direct burial cable at a box or enclosure. The clamp body grips the cable jacket while the threaded hub and locknut secure it to the knockout.
2) Can I use the NC302 clamp connector with direct burial cable?
Yes, it's rated for use with both non-metallic sheathed cable and direct burial cable in the 3/4 inch size. Direct burial applications still require the enclosure and any underground portion of the run to be suitable for the location.
3) What is the NC302 connector body made of?
Zinc die cast. That gives you a rigid, corrosion resistant body with a machined clamp that won't deform when you torque the screws down on the cable jacket.
4) Is the NC302 sold individually or by the box?
It's sold each, so you can order the exact count for the job rather than a carton quantity.
