Set screw, like the SK75RKON, is the standard indoor dry-location choice: faster to install and less expensive per fitting. Compression couplings are what you go to for wet or damp locations and for concrete without taping. The Allied set screw version is concrete tight when taped, so it can go in a slab, but it is not a substitute for a raintight fitting outdoors.

Steel, and Allied calls out heavy steel walls on the set screw coupling body. That matters where the raceway takes knocks, in a mechanical room, a parking structure, or an exposed industrial run, since die cast fittings are the ones that crack under impact.
