3M Scotchlok Block Fork Vinyl Insulated Terminal, MV14 Series

The MV14 series blue fork terminal is sized for 16 to 14 AWG stranded copper, which is 1.31 to 2.08 mm2. The barrel inside diameter is 0.090 inch, so anything heavier than 14 AWG will not seat. Blue insulation is the standard color code for that 16-14 range, so it matches what most crews already keep on the truck.

Two stud sizes are offered: a #8 stud version (MPN 7000133326) and a #10 stud version (MPN 7000133327). Measure or check the block's screw size before ordering. A #8 fork will slip under a #10 screw head but has more slop; a #10 fork will not fit over a #8 screw with the same bearing area, so match the stud.

A block fork terminal is the right pick when you need to pull a wire off a terminal block without backing the screw all the way out, which is what makes troubleshooting and panel changes fast. The MV14 is built specifically for terminal block use. If the connection is on a vibrating machine or a battery stud where the wire absolutely cannot come loose, use a ring terminal instead, since a fork can slide out from under a loosened screw.

600 V maximum recommended voltage, with a 105 C (221 F) maximum operating temperature. That covers standard control panel, lighting, and low voltage line work. It is not a high temperature terminal, so keep it away from motor windings, ballast housings, or anything running above 105 C where a nylon or heat shrink insulated terminal is needed.

The funnel sleeve on the MV14 accepts insulation up to 0.145 inch outside diameter. Thick-jacketed or double-insulated conductors above that will not slide into the funnel and you will end up with bare copper outside the sleeve. Standard 16-14 AWG stranded machine tool and control wire falls inside it.

Overall length is 0.85 inch (21.59 mm) and overall width 0.30 inch (7.62 mm), with clearance C of 0.25 inch and dimension E of 0.70 inch. That width matters most in dense blocks where terminals sit on tight centers, so check your block pitch if you are landing two wires side by side.

The MV14 series carries UL file number E23438 and is RoHS 2011/65/EU compliant without exemption. For institutional and government submittals, 3M also publishes an Article Information Sheet and a Regulatory Data Sheet for this terminal.

Packaged 100 per bottle, with 500 per case. The bottle keeps loose terminals contained on a cart or in a van bin, and the case quantity suits a stockroom min/max for panel shops doing repeat control wiring.

The terminal body is ETP copper with a brazed-seam barrel. A brazed seam will not split open under crimp pressure the way a butted, open-seam barrel can, which is why it holds a consistent pull-out on stranded conductors. Country of origin is the United States.
