The MV10-14FLX is a yellow-coded terminal sized for 12 to 10 AWG stranded copper (3.31 to 5.26 mm2). The barrel inside diameter is 0.135 inch, and the insulation sleeve will accept conductor insulation up to 0.145 inch outside diameter. Smaller wire like 14 or 16 AWG will not crimp reliably in this barrel, use a blue (16-14) or red (22-18) terminal for those.

It is built for a 1/4 inch stud. The fork opening clears 0.44 inch and the locking tongue spans up to 0.48 inch wide, so the spring tongue snaps around a 1/4 inch stud and holds the terminal in place while you start the nut. Overall the terminal is 1.24 inch long by 0.43 inch wide.

A plain spade slides off the stud the moment the nut backs off, and a ring terminal means pulling the nut and hardware all the way off to land the wire. The locking fork splits the difference: the spring-like tongue wraps the stud so the terminal stays put under a loosened nut, but you can still slide it on without removing the screw. Good for terminal strips and fixture blocks where you are working one-handed in a panel. Where vibration is severe or code calls for a captive connection, a ring terminal is still the stricter choice.

The barrel is brazed-seam electrolytic copper, not a rolled open seam, so it holds its shape under a proper crimp rather than peeling open. The vinyl sleeve is funnel-shaped at the entry to guide strands in, which cuts down on the stray-strand rejects you get feeding 10 AWG into a tight barrel.

The sleeve accepts conductor insulation up to 0.145 inch outside diameter, and the sleeve itself has a maximum outer diameter of 0.25 inch (3.7 mm metric spec). Standard 10 AWG THHN falls within that, but double-insulated or heavy-jacket cable can exceed 0.145 inch and will bottom out against the sleeve before the strands seat in the barrel.
