Viega 49903 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Is the Viega 49903 press sleeve a fitting on its own, or do I need a tee as well?
The sleeve is the press ring only, not a fitting body. Each PEX connection needs its own 3/4 inch sleeve plus the fitting it presses onto, so order sleeves by connection count, not by fitting count.
2) Are Viega PureFlow press sleeves stainless steel or copper?
The 49903 sleeve is stainless steel. That matters on jobs where the spec calls for stainless press sleeves rather than copper crimp rings, since the two are not interchangeable and each uses its own tool jaw.
