Viega 50243 ManaBloc distribution manifold, 24: 1/2'' (9, 15)

The Viega 50243 ManaBloc carries 24 total 1/2 inch outlet ports, split 9 and 15 between the hot and cold sides. Each port is a 1/2 inch connection feeding one fixture run, so one block serves up to 24 individual home-run lines from a single central location.

With 24 ports (9 hot, 15 cold), the 50243 suits a home where you can count 24 or fewer individual fixture supplies. Count every one: each lav gets two lines, each toilet one, each tub or shower valve two, plus hose bibbs, laundry, dishwasher and icemaker. If the count runs over, step up to a larger port configuration rather than teeing off a single port, since the point of a home-run manifold is one dedicated line per fixture.

All 24 outlets on the 50243 are 1/2 inch ports. Runs to individual fixtures are made in 1/2 inch PEX; the block itself is the distribution point, so the main hot and cold supplies land on the inlet side and every fixture leaves on its own 1/2 inch port.

That is the reason to use a ManaBloc. Each of the 24 ports is its own fixture run, so a single line can be isolated at the block without taking down the rest of the system. For a property manager or maintenance crew, it means a leaking lav or a failed toilet supply gets isolated at one central panel rather than hunting for a stop behind a fixture.

7.718 lbs for the bare 50243 block. Light enough to mount to framing with the integral brackets, but once 24 lines are charged and supported, fasten it to solid blocking rather than drywall or a single stud edge.

Yes, the 50243 ManaBloc is made in the USA, which matters on public and institutional work where domestic sourcing is written into the spec.
