1) How many access control doors can a 4 amp power supply like the OLS120 realistically support?
The OLS120 is rated 4A of continuous DC output. Size the job by adding the inrush and holding current of every device on the board (strikes, maglocks, readers, controller) and keeping the total under that 4A figure. A bank of 24V maglocks pulling a half amp each will hit the ceiling long before a set of low-draw readers does, so total the load before committing the board to a multi-door opening.
2) What does 'supervised' mean on the Altronix OLS120 power supply/charger?
It means the unit monitors its own battery and AC condition rather than just passing power through. As a supervised supply/charger the OLS120 maintains a standby battery and watches that circuit, which is what lets openings stay locked or released on a power loss instead of simply dropping dead. Batteries are a separate purchase.
