1) Can an Altronix SMP3 board be used to replace the relay board inside a Von Duprin PS873 power supply?
No. The SMP3 is a power supply board, not a drop-in relay board for the PS873. The part built for that swap is the Command Access VD2-873, a replacement relay board specifically for the Von Duprin PS873 power supply. If you are rebuilding a PS873 rather than feeding power to a device, order the VD2-873.
2) Will an Altronix SMP3 board sequence or delay two door operators or an electric latch retraction pair?
It will not. The SMP3 is a power supply board, so it supplies power; it does not do timed sequencing between devices. For sequencing a vestibule pair or timing latch retraction against an operator, the Command Access DS1+ is a delay/sequencer board with bi-directional control, and the DS1-X is a multi-function door sequencing relay board with 13 programmable functions. Many jobs use both: the supply board for power and the sequencer board for timing.
3) Is the Altronix SMP3 a commercial access control power supply or a residential-grade board?
