American Standard 035030-0020A – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the American Standard Amirilis Iris lever handle (035030-0020A) used for?
It's a replacement metal lever handle for an American Standard faucet, sold as a repair part rather than a complete faucet. If a handle on an existing Amirilis Iris faucet is cracked, stripped, or missing, this is the part that restores it without pulling the whole fitting.
2) Does the Amirilis Iris lever handle include the cartridge or stem?
No. It's the handle only, catalogued as a handle repair part. If the faucet is dripping or the stem is stripped, you need the matching cartridge or stem separately, since a new lever won't fix a leak.
3) What finish does the Amirilis Iris metal lever handle come in?
Chrome, under manufacturer part number 035030-0020A. That's the only finish offered, so if the other handle on a two-handle set is a brushed or bronze finish, this one won't match it.
4) Is the American Standard Amirilis Iris handle metal or plastic?
Metal. That matters for hospitality, multi-family, and other high-traffic washrooms where a plastic handle tends to crack at the broach after repeated over-torquing. The part weighs 0.69 lb.
5) Can I use this handle on a shower or tub valve instead of a faucet?
It's specified for faucet use. Shower and tub valve trim uses a different stem broach and escutcheon, so order handle trim made for that valve rather than adapting this one.
6) How big is the Amirilis Iris lever handle, and will it clear a tight backsplash?
The packaged part measures 6.188 x 5 x 3.375 inches (length, width, height as the manufacturer lists them). Those are the shipped carton figures rather than the bare lever, so for a tight wall or backsplash clearance check, measure the handle you're pulling off and compare swing arc.
