American Standard Aspirations 68 x 34-Inch Freestanding Bathtub With White Drain and Overflow - AMS-2677004

Either works. The Aspirations freestanding tub is shaped so it can go flush against a wall or stand in the center of the bathroom, which is unusual for a freestanding acrylic tub and is what lets it drop into a smaller bath where a true center-of-room install would not fit. Plan your supply and drain rough-in for whichever position you choose before the floor goes down.

The drain and overflow ship with the tub. It is a slotted overflow with a color-matched white drain, so there is no separate trim kit to specify on the order. The slotted overflow design gains you about 2 inches of extra water depth over a standard overflow, which matters if the point of the tub is a deep soak.

It is acrylic with fiberglass reinforcement, chip-resistant, in a glossy white finish that is nonporous and stain-resistant. For multi-family or hospitality turns, that means routine cleaning without sealing or refinishing, and an acrylic shell that tolerates knocks better than a thin unreinforced tub.

The Aspirations tub is built as a two-piece design specifically for handling, so the shell and skirt come in separately rather than as one bulky unit. That is the difference between a two-man carry through a standard door and a crane or a demolished frame on a second-floor remodel.

There is a 5-inch wide rear deck built into the tub for bathing essentials, plus contoured lumbar support in the backrest. So no caddy is required for basic use, though the 5-inch deck is a shelf, not a full ledge for a deck-mounted filler.

White only, and the drain and overflow are color-matched white to it, so the whole assembly reads as one piece. The ordering code for that combination is 2677004.02.
