American Standard Cadet 3 Toilet Tank Cover 4027 Linen - AMS-735123-400

That's exactly what it's for. The 735123-400.222 lid is the flat tank cover for the American Standard Cadet 3 close-coupled tank, in Linen. Cadet 3 tanks are close-coupled with a flat lid, so the cover sits flat on the tank rim rather than dropping into a recessed rim. If the tank you're matching is a different American Standard family, the lid will not seat correctly, since tank lids are model-specific castings.

Yes, the Cadet 3 tank cover is sold on its own. A cracked or chipped lid does not affect flushing, so replacing just the china lid is the normal repair rather than swapping the tank or the whole fixture. Order it in the finish that matches your tank, in this case Linen.

Linen is American Standard's soft off-white/beige china color, and it is the only finish this 735123-400 lid comes in. It will not match a White tank. Colored china is dye-lot sensitive, so match the color name stamped or printed on the underside of your existing lid or inside the tank before ordering, since a Linen lid on a White tank reads as an obvious mismatch across the room.

No. The 735123-400 is the china lid only. The Cadet 3's chrome-plated trip lever is mounted through the tank body, not the lid, so a broken handle is a separate part, and a new lid will not fix it.

For Cadet 3 close-coupled tanks in Linen, yes, this is the standard flat lid and it stocks well as a fleet spare. The catch is color and tank generation: units fitted with White china need the White version of the lid, and any unit on a different American Standard series takes its own lid. Pull the model number printed inside one tank before you standardize on a single part.

No. The Cadet 3 combination ships as bowl and tank, less seat, so a seat is a separate order when you are buying the fixture. If you are only replacing a broken lid, the seat question does not arise, the 735123-400 covers the tank alone.

EverClean is a glaze-level surface treatment on the Cadet 3 china that resists the growth of stain and odor causing bacteria, mold and mildew on the surface itself. It is fired into the china, so it is not a coating you reapply and it does not wear off with normal cleaning. It does not replace routine cleaning of the fixture.
