No. The Edgemere T018901 is a trim kit only. It installs onto American Standard's Flash rough-in valve platform, which is ordered separately. If you are running new supply lines, budget for the Flash valve body plus this trim; if a Flash valve is already in the wall from a previous phase, this trim is what finishes it.
2) Will the Edgemere tub faucet work on a valve that is set slightly too deep in the wall?
There is some room to work with. The Edgemere trim kit provides an additional 1 inch of installation adjustability for the finished deck, so a Flash rough-in that ended up out of plane with the finished surface can still be trimmed out without reopening the wall. That 1 inch is the whole allowance, though, so a valve set deeper than that still has to be corrected.
3) Is the personal shower included with the Edgemere T018901 or do I order the handshower separately?
The personal shower comes with it. The Edgemere bathtub faucet ships with the handshower as part of the kit, and that handshower is CEC compliant, which matters if you are specifying for a California project subject to state flow rules.
