Everything else is separate: the drain assembly, the faucet, the P-trap and supply stops, and the silicone or adhesive the countertop fabricator uses to bed the rim. Faucet holes are drilled in the counter or supplied by a deck-mount arrangement, not in the sink, since it mounts under the top.

The Edgemere is an undermount with an unglazed rim, meaning the rim is hidden beneath the counter and is not a finished visible surface. That makes it suited to solid surface, quartz, granite, or marble tops where the cutout edge can be polished. Laminate is generally unsuitable for undermounting because the exposed particleboard core at the cutout will swell. If the job has a laminate top, a drop-in or self-rimming lavatory is the right call instead.

Only if the old bowl's footprint is within the Edgemere's 18-1/2 in x 16-1/8 in nominal outline and the existing cutout is smaller than its 16-3/4 in x 14-3/8 in bowl opening. Undermount cutouts are cut to the old sink's inside edge, so a swap works when the new sink's rim overlaps that opening on all four sides. Measure the existing cutout before ordering; if it is larger than 16-3/4 in in either direction, the rim will not land on the underside of the stone.

Three inches is a shallow, wide basin, which is typical of the Edgemere's rectangular tapered bowl. At 16-3/4 in wide and 14-3/8 in front to back it gives plenty of surface area, but the shallow depth means faucet selection matters: a high-arc or high-flow spout over a 3 in bowl will splash. Pair it with a moderate spout height and an aerated outlet. There is a front overflow, so an unattended running faucet drains rather than spilling onto the vanity.

It is vitreous china, the same fired, glazed clay body used across commercial lavatories. The glaze is nonporous, so it resists staining and takes routine restroom cleaners. It is also brittle, so handle it on edge, support it fully during setting, and do not let installers set tools in the bowl during countertop work.
