American Standard 605B204.002 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Does the American Standard Innsbrook Selectronic touchless faucet come with a power supply?
No. The power kit is sold separately and must be ordered with the faucet, otherwise you will have a complete faucet body with nothing to run the sensor. Budget for it as a separate line item on the order.
2) Can I run hot and cold to the Innsbrook Selectronic metering faucet, or does it only take one supply?
Single inlet only. It takes one supply line, either straight cold or tempered water from a mixing valve upstream. If the job calls for user-adjustable temperature at the fixture, this is not the faucet for it.
3) What hole spacing does this faucet mount on?
The spout is a cast 4-inch centerset, so it sets on a standard 4-inch center deck. Confirm your sink or counter is drilled for 4-inch centers rather than 8-inch widespread before ordering.
4) What flow rate does this American Standard touchless faucet deliver, and will it hold up at low building pressure?
It runs 0.35 gpm (1.3 Lpm) through a pressure-compensating multi-laminar spray, so the flow stays consistent as building pressure varies. That is a low-flow rate aimed at restrooms where water use is being cut, not at filling basins quickly.
5) Is the Innsbrook Selectronic suitable for a high-traffic public restroom or is it a residential faucet?
It is built for commercial duty. The spout is cast and vandal-resistant, the spray outlet is vandal-resistant as well, and touchless operation removes the handle a user can break or leave running. American Standard classes it as a commercial fixture.
6) What stops the water if someone blocks the sensor on this touchless faucet?
A safety timer shuts the water off after 55 seconds of continuous run, so a jammed or obstructed sensor cannot flood a lavatory. There is also an auto purge that periodically flushes stagnant water from the line, which matters in schools and healthcare buildings with intermittent use.
7) Can the sensor range be changed after install if it picks up the sink basin or foot traffic?
Yes. The detection zone is adjustable, either manually at the faucet or with the optional remote control, which also handles the rest of the sensor programming. The remote is not part of the faucet and is ordered separately.
8) What finish does the American Standard 605B204 Selectronic faucet come in?
Chrome, under manufacturer part number 605B204.002. That is the only finish on this base model, so if the building standard is brushed nickel or matte black you will need a different model.
9) How much space does this faucet need on the deck and how heavy is it?
Shipping and product dimensions are 17.2 by 10.4 by 4.2 inches, and it weighs 7.707 pounds. The weight is worth knowing if you are mounting to a thin deck or a stainless trough sink and need to check the backing.
