American Standard 355034.02 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What is the extra right-hand hole on the Lucerne wall-hung sink for?
That extra hole is drilled for a soap or lotion dispenser, and it measures 1-3/8 inches (35 mm) in diameter. The dispenser itself is not included, and it has to be a long shank model to reach through the vitreous china deck.
2) What faucet will fit the Lucerne 355034 sink?
It is drilled for a 4-inch centerset faucet, meaning the two outer holes are on 4 inch (102 mm) centers. An 8-inch widespread will not fit. There is a faucet ledge behind the bowl to carry the trim.
3) Does this American Standard Lucerne sink come with a wall hanger, or do I need carrier arms?
A wall hanger is included, so it can be hung directly off blocking in the wall. It is also built to sit on concealed arms if your spec calls for a carrier, but those arms are supplied by others.
4) Does the Lucerne wall-hung sink include a drain, trap or supplies?
No. What ships is the vitreous china sink and its wall hanger. The faucet, grid or pop-up drain, P-trap, supply stops and the long shank dispenser all get ordered separately. On an exposed wall-hung fixture, plan on chrome-plated trap and supplies since they are visible.
5) Is there a version of the Lucerne without the extra dispenser hole?
The 355034 is specifically the 4-inch centerset model with the extra right-hand hole. If you do not want a dispenser opening in the deck, order a plain 4-inch centerset Lucerne instead; a blank third hole in a wall-hung china sink cannot be filled cleanly after the fact.
6) Is the Lucerne wall-hung sink a good choice for a high-traffic restroom?
It is a common commercial-style fixture: vitreous china, D-shaped bowl, a self-draining deck with contoured back and side splash shields to keep water off the wall, and a front overflow. The exposed-trap wall-hung design gives you clear floor space under the fixture for cleaning.
7) What color does the Lucerne 355034 come in?
White only, sold as part number 355034.02. If you are standardizing a run of restrooms, everything on the order will match without a finish decision to make.
8) Does this sink have an overflow?
Yes, a front overflow in the bowl. That matters when you pick the drain, since a pop-up or grid drain with an overflow path is the correct pairing here.
