American Standard 356037.02 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What faucet does the American Standard Lucerne 356037 wall-hung sink take?
The Lucerne 356037 is drilled for an 8 inch widespread faucet, with the holes on 8 inch (203 mm) centers. A centerset or single-hole faucet will not cover the drilling, so order a widespread trim with a 8 inch spread.
2) Does the Lucerne wall-hung sink come with a wall hanger, or do I need to buy mounting separately?
A wall hanger is included. You can also hang it on concealed arms instead, but those arms are supplied by others. Either way you need solid blocking or a carrier in the wall behind the finish surface to take the load.
3) I need a Lucerne sink without the extra dispenser hole. Is this the right one?
No. The 356037 is specifically the version with an extra right-hand hole at 1-3/8 inch diameter in addition to the 8 inch widespread faucet drilling. If you don't want a dispenser there, order the Lucerne drilling without the extra hole, otherwise you are left with an open hole to plug.
4) Is a drain or P-trap included with the American Standard Lucerne 356037?
No. The Lucerne ships as the china fixture with its wall hanger. Drain assembly, tailpiece, P-trap, supplies and stops all get ordered separately, along with the widespread faucet and the long shank dispenser for the right-hand hole.
5) Will the Lucerne wall-hung sink hold up in a commercial restroom?
It's built for that kind of use: vitreous china body, a D-shaped bowl with a front overflow, and a self-draining deck with contoured back and side splash shields so water runs back into the bowl instead of pooling on the ledge or the wall. The wall-hung format also leaves the floor clear for cleaning.
6) What finish does the Lucerne 356037 sink come in?
White only, part number 356037.02. If you are standardizing restrooms across a building, that single color keeps every opening matching without a finish decision per fixture.
7) Does this sink have an overflow?
Yes, the Lucerne has a front overflow, so it takes a standard grid or pop-up drain body made for an overflow sink rather than a no-overflow drain.
