American Standard 356015.02 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Does the Lucerne wall-hung sink come with a mounting hanger, or do I have to buy support arms?
A wall hanger ships with the sink, so the basic mounting bracket is covered. If your job calls for concealed arm carriers instead, those are supplied by others and are not part of the sink. Either way you still need to provide blocking or a carrier in the wall to take the load, plus the faucet and drain.
2) Is the American Standard Lucerne sink durable enough for a commercial restroom?
The Lucerne is vitreous china, the same material used across commercial washroom lavatories, and it hangs off the wall with nothing underneath to collect dirt, which is why it turns up so often in schools, offices and multi-family common areas. The deck is self-draining with contoured back and side splash shields to keep water off the wall.
3) Does this wall-hung lavatory have an overflow?
Yes, the Lucerne has a front overflow in the D-shaped bowl. That means you can use a standard pop-up or grid drain intended for an overflow lavatory rather than a no-overflow drain assembly.
4) Is there a ledge to mount the faucet on, or does the faucet go in the wall?
The sink has its own faucet ledge with the 8 inch widespread drilling, so the faucet mounts on the fixture, not through the wall. Rough in the supplies and the trap to come out of the wall below the bowl, since a wall-hung sink leaves that plumbing exposed unless you add a trap cover.
5) What color does the Lucerne wall-hung sink come in?
White only, ordered as part number 356015.02. If you are matching existing fixtures in a building, white is the one option, which makes it straightforward to standardize across restrooms.
