American Standard Madera Chair Height Toilet System With Manual Piston Flush Valve, 1.28 gpf/4.8 Lpf - AMS-2857128

Yes. The Madera chair height bowl sits at a 16-1/2 inch rim height and is stated as ADA compliant, which is what makes it the usual pick for accessible stalls in commercial restrooms, schools, and healthcare facilities.

No seat is included. The Madera 2857128 ships as bowl and flush valve only, and American Standard's recommended seat for it is model 5901110T.020. Budget that as a separate line on the order or the fixture isn't usable on handover.

Manual. It uses a piston-operated flushometer with a push handle, not a battery or hardwired sensor. If your facility standard calls for touchless flush in public restrooms, this is the wrong version and you want a sensor-operated flush valve model instead.

It is a flushometer (tankless) toilet system, bowl plus manual piston flush valve. That means it runs off the building's pressurized supply and needs adequate flow and pressure at the fixture, not a gravity tank. Don't plan on swapping it one-for-one onto a residential tank-type rough-in.

1.28 gallons per flush (4.8 liters). That is the high-efficiency figure most commercial water-conservation specs call for, so it satisfies jobs written to a 1.28 gpf maximum rather than the older 1.6 gpf standard.

On the Madera 2857128 system, the piston flush valve carries American Standard's DynaClean self-cleaning wiper spring, which clears the refill orifice on every flush to help prevent valve run-on. The handle is also non-hold-open, so the valve shuts off automatically even if someone leans on it. For a property manager, that's the maintenance call this fixture is meant to avoid.

White only, sold under part number 2857128.02. If you are standardizing restrooms across a portfolio, every unit will match without a finish selection to track.
