American Standard 0958908EC.020 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Will the American Standard Murro wall-hung sink work with a concealed arm carrier?
Yes. The Murro EverClean wall-hung lavatory is built to mount on a concealed arm carrier, supplied by others, or on wall support. The carrier is not included, so the arms and the in-wall support have to be specified and ordered separately as part of the rough-in.
2) How many faucet holes does the Murro 0958908EC sink have and what spread?
It is drilled for an 8 inch widespread faucet, three holes on 8 inch (203 mm) centers. A centerset or single-hole faucet will not cover that drilling, so order a widespread trim with the sink.
3) Does this American Standard Murro sink have an overflow?
No. This version of the Murro is the less-overflow model, so the drain has to be a grid or open style without an overflow port. A pop-up assembly that relies on an overflow channel will not vent correctly on this bowl.
4) Can I hide the exposed P-trap and supplies under this wall-hung sink?
Yes, with a shroud. The Murro accepts an optional acrylic shroud, model 0062000, or a matching vitreous china shroud, 0059020EC. Neither ships with the sink, so add one if the drain and stops need to be concealed for an accessible or public restroom.
5) What does EverClean mean on this American Standard sink?
EverClean is an antimicrobial surface fired into the china that inhibits growth of stain and odor causing bacteria, mold and mildew on the surface. It works on the finish, not the water, so it does not replace cleaning schedules in a high-traffic restroom.
6) What material and color is the Murro wall-hung sink?
Vitreous china, offered in white. Vitreous china holds up to commercial restroom cleaning chemicals and the recessed self-draining deck keeps standing water off the faucet area.
7) Is the Murro 0958908EC a residential or commercial lavatory?
It is a commercial-grade fixture, and the spec set reflects that: wall-hung on a carrier, widespread faucet drilling, EverClean surface, and ADA and TAS compliance. It suits schools, healthcare, hospitality and multi-family common restrooms as easily as a residential powder room.
