The Ovalyn medium is an undermount bowl. It mounts beneath the counter, so the deck material (stone, solid surface, quartz) forms the visible edge around the bowl and the faucet holes are drilled in the counter, not in the sink. If you need a bowl with its own rim sitting on top of a laminate deck, this is the wrong mount type.

Yes, a mounting kit and a cutout template ship with the bowl. The template is what your fabricator uses to lay out and cut the counter opening. You still supply the drain assembly, tailpiece, trap and the faucet separately, since none of those are part of the sink.

It has a front overflow, so it works with a standard overflow-type lavatory pop-up drain. Do not use a grid drain or a non-overflow pop-up with it, or the overflow channel will have nowhere to discharge.

The underside of the bowl is glazed, which gives a finished, sealed surface on the part of the sink that stays visible from below the counter or through an open vanity. On a standard undermount the exposed underside is often raw china. The rim itself is left unglazed because it is bonded up against the underside of the countertop.

Vitreous china. It is the same fired, glazed ceramic used across commercial lavatory work, non-porous and cleanable with standard restroom chemicals, which is why property managers and facility buyers standardize on it for multi-unit and public washrooms. It is also rigid and brittle, so undermount support clips and a properly cut counter opening matter.

There are none in the bowl. Because the Ovalyn mounts under the counter, the faucet and any spread or centerset drilling is done in the countertop behind the bowl. Decide your faucet (4 inch centerset, 8 inch widespread, or single hole) before the fabricator drills, since the sink gives you no holes to work from.
