American Standard Porcini Semi-Pro Dual Spray Kitchen Faucet - AMS-9322351

A coordinating deck plate ships with the Porcini semi-pro faucet, along with a matching soap dispenser. The deck plate is what lets a single-hole faucet body cover a multi-hole sink deck, so you can mount it without changing the sink or countertop.

The Porcini uses a tall spring coil spout, so it needs vertical clearance above the deck, which rules it out under a low window or an overhanging cabinet. The handle rotates forward rather than back, so the handle itself will not hit the backsplash when you turn the water on, which is the usual clearance complaint on faucets mounted tight to a wall.

Metal construction and ceramic disc valve cartridges are the two things that matter for turnover units, and the Porcini has both. Ceramic discs are the standard commercial-grade valve type and they resist the drip and seat wear that sinks rubber-washer valves. The spray face is silicone, so mineral buildup wipes off with a thumb instead of needing descaling.

A magnetic arm catches the spray head and holds it in the docked position. That is the difference from a hose-and-weight pull-down, where the hose stretches over time and the head starts hanging low. On the Porcini the head returns to the coil and stays seated.

It is a dual spray faucet with the sprayer integrated into the spout head, so you get stream and spray from one head and do not need a side sprayer hole. If your sink has an unused side spray hole, the included soap dispenser fills it.

The swivel spout on the Porcini rotates across the deck, and the semi-pro coil lets the spray head pull down and out, so it covers both bowls and the corners of a double-bowl sink from a single center mount.
