American Standard 3695001.02 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Does the American Standard Priolo 3695001 toilet bowl come with a tank, or does it need a flushometer?
It's a flushometer bowl, so there is no tank. The Priolo 3695001 uses a 1-1/2 inch inlet spud and needs a flush valve rated in the 1.1 to 1.6 gpf range to match the bowl. It also ships less seat, so budget an elongated commercial seat on the same order.
2) Is the Priolo 3695001 a back outlet (rear discharge) bowl or does it drain through the floor?
Back outlet. The 3695001 is floor mounted but discharges horizontally out the back into a wall carrier or wall stub, not down through a floor flange. If your rough-in is a floor drain, this is the wrong bowl and you want a bottom-outlet floor-mount model instead.
3) Is this American Standard Priolo bowl tall enough to use in an ADA restroom stall?
The bowl sits at 16-1/2 inches (419 mm) chair height, which American Standard designates for accessible applications. Add the seat thickness and you land in the 17 to 19 inch seated range that accessible stalls are typically built to.
4) How well does the Priolo 3695001 clear waste in a high-traffic public restroom?
It carries a MaP score of 1,000 grams at 1.1 to 1.6 gpf, which is the top of the MaP scale, driven by a direct-fed siphon jet and a 2-1/8 inch (54 mm) fully glazed trapway. That combination is what facilities buyers look for in school, stadium and transit restrooms where clogs mean a service call.
5) Can I run the Priolo 3695001 on a 1.28 gpf flush valve to meet a water conservation spec?
Yes. The bowl is a High Efficiency Toilet rated to operate anywhere from 1.1 to 1.6 gpf (4.2 to 6.0 Lpf), so a 1.28 gpf valve falls inside its range and still hits the 1,000 gram MaP score. That flexibility lets one bowl cover both retrofit 1.6 gpf openings and new HET specs.
6) Does the Priolo 3695001 take an elongated or round seat, and what finish is it available in?
Elongated. The bowl ships less seat, so order an elongated open-front commercial seat to suit. The china is offered in white.
7) What does EverClean actually do on this American Standard bowl, and does it replace cleaning?
EverClean is an antimicrobial surface fired into the china that inhibits growth of stain and odor causing bacteria, mold and mildew on the surface. It slows staining and odor between cleanings; it does not sanitize the fixture and it is not a substitute for a janitorial routine.
8) Will the Priolo bowl sweat in a humid restroom?
The elongated bowl is built with a condensation channel, which catches and manages sweating on the outside of the china rather than letting it drip onto the floor. That matters in unconditioned or high-humidity restrooms where puddling under fixtures becomes a slip and maintenance issue.
9) What is the American Standard part number for the white Priolo back outlet bowl?
Order as 3695001.02 for white. The base model designation is 3695001, and the .02 suffix is the white china finish.
