American Standard Selectronic PWRX Power Kit - AMS-PK00.WRK

The PWRX power kit (PK00.WRK) works with all Selectronic base models, so it isn't limited to one faucet series. It ships with the PWRX battery pack, the battery holder, and the connector locking device, which is everything on the power side of the faucet.

Rated at 480,000 cycles, which American Standard puts at a 10-year life at 4,000 uses per month. For an MRO or facilities buyer that is the number that matters: at that duty cycle you are planning one power service visit per restroom per decade rather than an annual battery round.

No. The Selectronic faucet is fail-safe: it shuts off automatically on loss of power or a dead battery, and there is no reset procedure when power is restored. That is the behavior a property manager wants in an unattended public restroom, since a dead cell means a dry faucet, not a running one.

It's a battery solution. The kit is built around the PWRX battery pack with its own holder and a connector locking device, so the faucet runs on self-contained power with no transformer, no conduit, and no electrician needed at the fixture. For retrofit work in an existing restroom where there is no power under the lavatory, that is the whole point of the kit.

Power only. PK00.WRK is the PWRX power kit: battery pack, battery holder, and connector locking device. You order it alongside or after a Selectronic faucet, not instead of one. It's also finish-neutral, since none of it is visible above the deck.

It secures the power connection between the battery pack and the faucet electronics so the plug can't back out or be pulled apart under the lavatory. In high-traffic or vandal-exposed restrooms that connection is the usual nuisance call, and the locking device is included in the kit rather than sold separately.

0.35 gpm, which American Standard states saves 84 percent of water use against a 2.2 gpm faucet. That figure is what gets cited on water-conservation specs for schools, healthcare, and hospitality restrooms.
