American Standard Urinal Inlet Spud - AMS-47005

No. It's an American Standard part, and the description says to check your urinal model for compatibility before ordering. Spud sizes and thread engagement vary by fixture, so match it to the American Standard urinal model you're servicing rather than assuming it drops into a Sloan, Zurn or Kohler bowl.

That joint is exactly what the inlet spud seals, so a weep or drip at the top of the urinal where the valve tailpiece enters is the usual reason to replace it. Confirm the American Standard model of the urinal first, since spud fit is fixture-specific.

The inlet spud is the fitting that connects the flush valve outlet to the top inlet of the urinal. It seals the water path into the fixture, so it is the piece you replace when water weeps at the joint between the flush valve tailpiece and the urinal itself. The American Standard 047005-0070A is a repair part, sold as a single item with no applied finish.

American Standard classes the 47005 spud simply as a repair part rather than splitting it residential or commercial, and it serves the same role in either setting: restoring the seal at the urinal inlet. For a facility standardizing across a restroom bank, order it against each urinal's model number, since the fixture, not the building type, decides fit.

There's one version, supplied with no finish applied. If you're matching visible chrome trim in a restroom, the spud isn't the piece that sets that appearance; the flush valve and its escutcheon are.
