Blanco 233530 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Which Blanco sinks does the 233530 floating grid actually fit?
The 233530 grid is custom-fitted to the Blanco IKON and VINTERA 30 inch farmhouse kitchen sinks. It measures 9.88 inches by 14.44 inches, so it is sized to that specific bowl rather than being a universal grid. If your sink is a different Blanco series or a different size farmhouse bowl, this one will not seat correctly on the bumpers and you want the grid matched to that model instead.
2) Does this Blanco grid sit on the bottom of the sink or above it?
It floats. The grid is held a few inches above the sink bottom, giving you a second working level for rinsing and prepping while water and debris drain underneath. That is different from a bottom grid, which lays flat on the basin to protect the surface from pots. If your goal is scratch protection on the floor of the bowl, a bottom grid is the right part; if you want a raised prep surface, this is it.
3) Will the Blanco floating sink grid hold heavy cast iron pots without bending?
Yes. It is built from stainless steel and rated to hold the weight of heavy pots and pans while suspended above the basin. Rubber feet and side bumpers grip the inside of the sink so it does not slide when you set a loaded pot down on it.
4) Can the 233530 grid be used on the countertop as a trivet?
It can. The grid is heat resistant and the same non-skid feet and bumpers that grip the sink also protect a countertop, so it doubles as a trivet for hot pots and pans or as a cooling rack for baked goods.
5) Will the rubber feet scratch my stainless sink, and can the grid go in the dishwasher?
The feet and side bumpers are rubber specifically so the steel frame never contacts the basin, which is what protects the sink surface and keeps the grid from shifting. The whole grid is dishwasher safe, so cleanup after prep work is straightforward.
6) What finish does the Blanco 233530 sink grid come in?
Stainless steel is the only finish for the 233530, which keeps it visually consistent with a stainless sink and with other stainless accessories in the bowl. There is no coated or colored version of this grid.
