Blanco 233953 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Which Blanco sink does the 233953 grid actually fit?
The 233953 grid is custom-fitted to one sink only: the Blanco Quatrus R0 ADA kitchen sink, model 443047. It is cut to that basin's footprint, so it won't sit correctly in other Blanco bowls or in a competitor's sink. If the sink you're outfitting is a different Quatrus model or another Blanco series, you need the grid built for that model instead.
2) Will the grid block access to the drain on an ADA sink?
No. The grid has a rear drain opening that lines up with the Quatrus R0 ADA sink's rear drain placement, so the strainer and disposal stay reachable with the grid in place. That rear cutout is also why it won't work in a center-drain bowl.
3) What does a bottom sink grid do that a rubber mat doesn't?
This is a stainless steel basin rack that sits on the bottom of the sink and holds cookware and dishes up off the steel, so pans don't scuff or dent the bowl. Water drains underneath rather than pooling under a mat, and it doubles as an in-sink drying rack for glassware, plates and utensils. Non-skid feet and side bumpers keep it from sliding and keep the metal off the basin walls.
4) Is a stainless sink grid durable enough for a multi-family or hospitality kitchen?
The 233953 is made from corrosion-resistant stainless steel and is dishwasher safe, so it can be pulled and run through a machine between cleanings rather than scrubbed in place. For property managers standardizing units, note it is matched to one sink model (Quatrus R0 ADA, 443047), so it only standardizes across units built with that sink.
5) Does the Blanco 233953 grid come in any finish other than stainless?
Stainless steel is the only finish offered for this grid, sold under part number 233953. Blanco's coated or other-finish accessories are separate items.
6) Can I use this grid along with a colander or cutting board on the same sink?
Yes. The bottom grid is designed to work alongside other Blanco sink accessories, including floating grids, colanders and cutting boards, since it sits on the basin floor rather than on the rim ledge. Those accessories are ordered separately and are not included with the grid.
