Blanco 237516 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Which Blanco sink does the 237516 grid actually fit?
The Blanco 237516 grid is custom-fitted to one sink: the BLANCO QUATRUS ERGON farmhouse kitchen sink, model 525243. It isn't a universal grid, so if your basin is a different Blanco model or another brand, this one won't seat correctly on the bottom.
2) Will a sink grid scratch or damage my stainless sink basin?
No. The grid sits on non-skid protective feet with side bumpers, so it stays put and keeps the frame off the basin surface and away from the sidewalls. The grid itself takes the hits from pots, pans and utensils instead of the sink bottom.
3) Does the grid block the drain on a Quatrus Ergon sink?
It doesn't. The 237516 bottom grid has a rear drain opening that lines up to leave the drain accessible, and water drains freely underneath the grid while you rinse dishes over it.
4) What is the difference between a bottom sink grid and a floating grid?
A bottom grid like the Blanco 237516 sits down on the floor of the basin to protect it and let water run underneath. A floating grid sits higher in the basin and works as a work surface or drying shelf. Blanco sells both, along with colanders and cutting boards, and they are meant to be combined in the same sink.
5) What material is the Blanco 237516 grid made from, and can it go in the dishwasher?
Stainless steel, chosen for corrosion resistance in a wet sink environment, and it is dishwasher safe. That matters for rental turnovers and hospitality kitchens where the grid gets cleaned on a cycle rather than by hand.
6) Can I use the Blanco sink grid as a drying rack?
Yes, that's a second use for it. Set glassware, plates and utensils on the grid and water drains through and out underneath, so it works as an in-sink drying rack when you aren't washing.
7) Does the 237516 grid come in any finish other than stainless steel?
Stainless steel is the only finish this grid is built in. If you're standardizing accessories across multiple units, every one you order will match.
