Blanco 236711 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Will the Blanco 236711 sink grid fit my Blanco Cerana farmhouse sink?
The 236711 grid is custom-fitted to the BLANCO CERANA 33 inch farmhouse kitchen sink, models 525012 and 525013. If your Cerana is a different size or a different Blanco series, this grid won't sit correctly in the basin, so match the sink model number first.
2) Does this Blanco grid sit in the bottom of the sink or float at the rim?
It is a bottom grid. The 236711 rests on the floor of the basin on non-skid feet and lets water drain underneath, so dishes and cookware never touch the sink surface. If you want something that sits up at the rim to free the basin below, that is a floating grid, a different accessory.
3) Will the grid block access to the drain in my Cerana sink?
No. The 236711 has a center drain opening, so the strainer and drain stay reachable with the grid in place.
4) Will a stainless grid scratch a ceramic Cerana basin?
The 236711 is built with non-skid protective feet and side bumpers, so the stainless frame doesn't rest metal-to-surface or slide against the basin walls. That is the point of a custom-fitted grid rather than a universal one: the bumpers land where the basin sides are.
5) Is the Blanco 236711 sink grid dishwasher safe, and will it rust?
It's dishwasher safe and made from corrosion-resistant stainless steel, which is what makes it practical for multi-family or hospitality kitchens where the grid gets cleaned on a cycle with everything else.
6) Can this grid double as a drying rack?
Yes. Because it stands off the basin floor with water draining beneath, the 236711 works as an in-sink drying rack for glassware, utensils and plates as well as a protective bottom grid.
7) What finish does the 236711 grid come in?
Stainless steel is the only finish offered for the 236711, so it pairs with stainless or chrome faucets and strainers without a finish decision on the order.
