Blanco 440007 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Will the Blanco 440007 basket strainer fit a standard 3-1/2 inch kitchen sink drain opening?
Yes. The Blanco 440007 basket strainer is built for universal 3.5 inch drain openings, which is the standard kitchen sink drain size on residential and most commercial-grade kitchen sinks. If your sink has a 3.5 inch cutout, this drops in.
2) Does the Blanco 440007 strainer only work in Blanco sinks, or will it fit other brands?
It is sold as the matching strainer for Blanco kitchen sinks, but the fit is not brand-locked. Because it is sized to the universal 3.5 inch drain opening, it will seat in any kitchen sink cut to that standard opening regardless of who made it.
3) Can the Blanco 440007 hold water in the sink, or does it only strain?
It does both. The basket creates a tight seal to plug the bowl when you want to fill it, and you can set it to let water drain through while catching food scraps during prep.
4) Is the Blanco 440007 a sink grid or a drain strainer?
It is a drain basket strainer that sits in the 3.5 inch drain opening, not a bottom grid that protects the sink floor. If you are after a rack to keep pans off the bowl surface, that is a different part.
5) What finish does the Blanco 440007 decorative basket strainer come in?
Chrome is the finish offered on the 440007, model number 440007. It is a metal strainer, so if your faucet and sink accessories are chrome or polished stainless, it will read as a match at the drain.
6) Is the Blanco 440007 strainer basket removable for cleaning?
Yes, the basket lifts out for rinsing and cleaning, which is what keeps food debris from working its way into the trap arm. No tools needed to pull it for routine cleaning.
