Blanco 440851 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What comes in the Blanco 440851 clip kit, or do I need extra hardware to mount the sink?
Each clip in the set is a complete assembly: screw, clip, insert, washer and washout, plus installation instructions in the box. Ten clips per set. You supply the epoxy or adhesive and the countertop anchoring your fabricator uses, but the clip hardware itself is all there.
2) Are Blanco sink mounting clips metal or plastic?
Stainless metal construction, supplied in a stainless steel finish. That matters under a sink cabinet, where the clips sit in a damp environment for the life of the countertop.
3) I manage apartments and keep replacing SILGRANIT sinks that pull loose. Is part 440851 the right clip to re-secure them?
Yes, 440851 is Blanco's undermount clip set for SILGRANIT bowls, and buying it in a set of 10 makes sense for a fleet of units since each replacement or repair draws from the same box. Because every clip ships with its own screw, insert, washer and washout, a tech is not hunting for loose hardware on site.
4) Can these Blanco clips be used on a drop-in or topmount sink?
No. The 440851 set is undermount hardware, intended to hold a sink up against the underside of the counter. A drop-in sink rests on the countertop and uses the rim clips supplied with that sink, not these.
