Blanco 441322 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Will the Blanco 441322 basket strainer fit a standard 3-1/2 inch sink drain opening?
Yes. The Blanco 441322 basket strainer is built for standard 3.5 inch kitchen sink drain openings, which is the common opening on residential and commercial kitchen sinks. If your sink has a smaller bar-sink opening, this is not the right strainer.
2) What color is Blanco 441322, and what sinks does it match?
Model 441322 is the Truffle finish. Blanco color-coordinates these strainers to its SILGRANIT sink colors, so the Truffle version is the one to order when you are matching a Truffle SILGRANIT sink and want the drain to blend in rather than show as chrome.
3) Can this Blanco strainer hold water in the sink, or does it only catch debris?
Both. It seats to create a tight seal so you can fill the basin, and it can be set to let water drain through while still catching food scraps, which is what you want during prep work. That is the difference between this and a plain fixed grid drain.
4) Does the Blanco 441322 replace the whole sink drain assembly or just the basket?
It is the strainer that sits in the drain opening, not a full waste assembly. You are not getting tailpiece, trap, or drain body with it, so if the existing drain flange or tailpiece is what is leaking, you need drain parts as well as this basket.
5) I manage rental units with Blanco sinks - is a color-matched strainer worth it over a standard chrome one?
If the sinks are SILGRANIT, the color-matched unit keeps the drain from standing out against the granite composite finish, and 441322 covers Truffle basins. Functionally you get the same seal-and-strain operation as a standard basket, so the choice comes down to whether you are standardizing on appearance across the units. It lifts out by hand for rinsing, so turnover cleaning is not a service call.
6) Where is the Blanco 441322 sink strainer made?
Made in the United States. That matters on public and institutional jobs where domestic-sourcing language shows up in the purchase order.
