Blanco 400694 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What size hole does the Blanco Torre soap dispenser need in the countertop or sink deck?
The Torre drops into a standard 1-3/8 inch diameter drilled hole. If you're using an existing sink accessory hole (the spare hole most kitchen sinks are drilled with for a sprayer or air switch), that's the size to confirm before you order. Installation is from above once the hole is there.
2) Do you have to get under the sink to refill the Blanco Torre soap dispenser?
No. The Torre refills from above the counter, so you pour straight into the head without opening the cabinet or pulling the bottle. The reservoir holds roughly 10 fl oz. For a property manager or facilities crew refilling units on a route, that's the difference between a 10 second job and a trip under the sink.
3) Will the Blanco Torre dispenser match my Blanco SILGRANIT sink and Linus faucet?
That's what it's built for. Torre is made to coordinate with all BLANCO SILGRANIT sinks and the LINUS faucet collection, and it's offered in the SILGRANIT colors as well as the metal finishes, so you can match the sink body or match the faucet. Granite-look colors offered are Anthracite, Cafe, Truffle, White, Soft White, Cinder, Metallic Gray, Volcano Gray and Coal Black. Metal finishes are Chrome, PVD Steel, Satin Platinum, Satin Dark Steel and Satin Gold.
4) Can I put hand lotion or hand soap in the Blanco Torre instead of dish soap?
Liquid dish soap, liquid hand soap and hand lotion are all suitable for the Torre. That makes it usable at a bath or utility sink, not just the kitchen. Thicker products still need to be pourable; the pump is a liquid pump, not a foaming or gel head.
5) Is the Blanco Torre soap dispenser plastic or metal?
Solid brass. The body is brass rather than a plastic pump, and the finish is treated to resist tarnishing, discoloration and corrosion. For multi-family or commercial installs where dispensers get grabbed with wet hands hundreds of times a week, that construction is the reason to spec it over a hardware-store pump.
6) Which MPN do I order for a Blanco Torre in Satin Gold or PVD Steel?
Each finish is its own Blanco part number. Satin Gold is 442989 and PVD Steel is 402672. The rest run: Chrome 400601, Satin Platinum 527722, Satin Dark Steel 527744, Anthracite 400693, Cafe 400694, Truffle 401215, White 401216, Soft White 443045, Cinder 401449, Metallic Gray 401851, Volcano Gray 443046, Coal Black 402572. Order by number if you're matching an existing sink, since several of the grays read similarly by name.
7) Can I install the Blanco Torre soap dispenser myself, or do I need a plumber?
If the 1-3/8 inch hole already exists in the deck or counter, it's a minutes-long job with no plumbing connection involved. The dispenser feeds from its own reservoir, so there is no supply line to tie in. The only trade work is drilling, and that matters on stone or solid surface counters where a 1-3/8 inch bore should be cut by a fabricator.
8) Does the Blanco Torre dispenser drip on the counter or clog up like cheap pumps do?
It's engineered not to clog or drip. That's the practical case for it in a rental or a commercial kitchenette, where a dripping pump leaves soap film on the deck and a clogged one becomes a service call.
