TOTO TBW07019U#CP – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Can I add a slide bar to an existing shower, or does the wall have to be opened up?
A slide bar like the TBW07019U mounts on the finished wall surface at two points, top and bottom, so no valve work or in-wall plumbing is involved. The water still comes from whatever outlet is already there. The one thing to sort out before drilling is backing: the upper and lower mounts want solid blocking or proper anchors behind the tile, because a slide bar takes real load when someone grabs it. A slide bar is not a grab bar and should not be specified as one.
2) What finishes does the TOTO G Series 30 inch handshower slide bar come in?
Three finishes on the G Series 30 inch slide bar: Polished Chrome (TBW07019U#CP), Brushed Nickel (TBW07019U#BN), and Polished Nickel (TBW07019U#PN). The base model number is the same across all three, so the finish suffix after the # is the only thing that changes on the order. Match the suffix to the rest of the TOTO trim in the shower so the bar, the handshower and the valve trim read as one set.
3) Is the TOTO G Series slide bar the right match for a G Series shower trim?
Yes. TBW07019U is TOTO's own G Series slide bar, so it is built to sit alongside G Series shower trim and handshowers in the same finish family. Ordering it in the matching suffix, #CP, #BN or #PN, keeps the plating consistent across the valve trim, the handshower and the bar.
4) I need to order more of the same slide bar for other units. What number do I give?
Give TBW07019U with the finish suffix: TBW07019U#CP for Polished Chrome, TBW07019U#BN for Brushed Nickel, TBW07019U#PN for Polished Nickel. Those are the TOTO part numbers and they are what keeps repeat orders across a property identical to what is already installed.
