TOTO TBG01202U#CP – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Does the TOTO GO Roman tub filler trim include the valve, or do I need to order a rough-in separately?
Trim only. The TOTO GO deck-mount Roman tub filler ships with the spout, handles, and handshower mount and hose. You order the TBN01202U four-hole tub filler rough-in valve separately, along with the connection tubes and the handshower itself. Plan the rough-in into the order or the job stalls at trim-out.
2) How many holes does the deck need for the TOTO GO Roman tub filler?
Four holes, drilled in a widespread layout: two handles, the spout, and the handshower. The deck can be up to 1.75 inches thick. The TBN01202U rough-in is a four-hole tub filler valve, so the trim and valve match that drilling.
3) What is the difference between TOTO TBG01201U and TBG01202U?
Functionality. TBG01201U is the GO Roman tub filler trim without the handshower function; TBG01202U is the version with handshower. Both come in Polished Chrome, Brushed Nickel, and Polished Nickel. The handshower head itself is a separate purchase either way.
4) Which handshowers work with the TOTO GO tub filler?
TOTO lists TBW01009U4, TBW01011U4, and TBW02016U4 as the recommended handshower models. The trim supplies the mount and hose; the spray head is bought separately and should be one of those three to match.
5) Can I use this trim on a wall-mounted tub setup or an existing three-hole deck?
No. This is a deck-mount Roman filler requiring four holes in a widespread pattern on a tub deck up to 1.75 inches thick, paired to the TBN01202U four-hole rough-in. A three-hole deck or a wall-mount application needs a different TOTO tub filler configuration.
6) Can the hole spacing be adjusted for a wider tub deck?
Yes, within the range the connection tubes allow. The GO tub filler is a widespread design, and with the separately sold connection tubes the spacing can be set for various install widths, so it isn't locked to one fixed center dimension.
7) What are the spout height and reach on the TOTO GO Roman tub filler?
Spout height is 3.75 inches with a reach of 8-11/16 inches, and the overall trim measures 11.25 by 4.625 inches. On a wide tub rim, check that reach gets the stream inside the tub wall before you drill, because a deep rolled rim can eat most of 8-11/16 inches.
8) What size supply connections does this tub filler trim use?
1/2 inch NPSM connections. That is a straight-thread mating connection, not tapered pipe thread, so it joins to the TOTO connection tubes and rough-in rather than being threaded onto NPT pipe directly.
9) Is this tub filler ADA compliant for a hospitality or multi-family spec?
Yes, the GO two-handle Roman tub filler is listed ADA compliant, with lever handles rather than knobs. For facility standardization it is solid brass with a corrosion resistant finish, and the trim weighs 7.9 pounds.
10) Will the handles get hot on a hot-water-only draw?
The GO tub spout uses low-conductivity materials in the parts that contact the handle, which limits heat transfer and keeps the lever from getting uncomfortably warm. That is a practical point in a rental or hotel bath where guests run full hot to fill.
11) Does the GO tub filler finish match other TOTO fittings in the same bath?
It belongs to TOTO's Global collection and is offered in Polished Chrome (#CP), Brushed Nickel (#BN), and Polished Nickel (#PN), so matching other openings or fixtures comes down to ordering the same finish suffix across the room.
