TOTO TLS01309U#CP – Frequently Asked Questions

1) How many holes does the TOTO LB wall-mount bathroom faucet need, and can it go on a standard 4-inch centerset sink?
The LB wall-mount faucet needs two holes, and they go in the wall, not the sink deck. It mounts on the wall above the lavatory with the spout and side handle fed from a wall rough-in, so it will not work on a sink drilled for a 4-inch centerset or a single-hole deck faucet. If your sink is pre-drilled for deck mounting, you need a deck-mount faucet instead.
2) What supply connection does the TOTO LB wall-mount lav faucet use for rough-in?
Connections are 1/2 NPT, so the valve ties into 1/2 inch threaded supply stubs in the wall. Plan the rough-in before the wall is closed up, since this is not a deck faucet you can reach from under the sink.
3) Is a drain assembly included with the TOTO LB wall-mount faucet?
No drain is included. The LB ships with the spout and handle plus the valve; the drain assembly is a separate purchase, so add a lavatory drain to the order if you are doing a full fixture replacement.
4) What is the difference between the short and long versions of the TOTO LB wall-mount faucet?
Two spout lengths are offered in polished chrome: the short, model TLS01309U#CP, and the long, model TLS01310U#CP. Pick the longer spout where the wall sits further back from the bowl or the lavatory is deeper, so water lands near the drain rather than the back of the basin. Published reach is 6.94 inches.
5) Does this TOTO wall-mount faucet meet ADA and low-flow requirements for a commercial restroom?
Yes on both counts. The LB wall-mount faucet is ADA compliant and uses a lever handle, which is the operable-without-grasping type ADA expects. Flow is 1.2 GPM aerated, and it carries WaterSense, CALGreen, and CEC compliance, which covers California restroom lavatory flow limits.
6) Is the TOTO LB faucet a single-handle mixer or does it need separate hot and cold valves?
It is a single-handle mixer. One lever on the side of the spout body controls both temperature and volume through a ceramic cartridge, which is why only two wall holes are needed rather than three.
7) Will this faucet hold up in a high-traffic public or multi-family restroom?
Construction is solid brass with a chrome finish, and the valve uses a ceramic cartridge rather than rubber washers, which is the usual choice for repeated daily cycling. The handle material is low-conductivity so it does not heat up from the hot side, a real issue on metal-handle faucets in busy washrooms.
8) What finish does the TOTO LB wall-mount faucet come in?
Polished chrome only, in both the short and long spout, so matching it across a row of lavatories is straightforward if your other trim is chrome. There is no brushed nickel or matte black option in this model.
