The Aquia IV One-Piece Elongated Dual Flush 1.28 and 0.9 GPF Universal Height WASHLET+ Ready Toilet is the epitome of modern form and function. The skirted design conceals the trapway, which enhances the elegant look of the toilet and adds an additional level of sophistication. The one-piece design is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also offers the benefit of being easier to clean versus a two-piece toilet. By removing the gap between the tank and bowl, we eliminate the hiding place for dirt and debris. An additional benefit of the one-piece toilet is that there is no threat of leaks from bolts or gaskets that can occur in two-piece toilets. The Aquia IV features TOTO's DYNAMAX TORNADO FLUSH, utilizing a 360 degree cleaning power to reach every part of the bowl. The DYNAMAX TORNADO FLUSH helps to reduce the frequency of toilet cleanings, minimizing the usage of water, harsh chemicals, and time required for cleaning and the enhanced design of the Aquia IV inner bowl reduces water flow resistance and turbulence; resulting in a quieter flush. The chrome center-mounted push button that sits atop the tank allows you to proactively conserve water by choosing between a 0.9 GPF rinse or 1.28 GPF for tougher jobs. This version of the Aquia IV offers TOTO T40 WASHLET+ compatibility for when you are ready to upgrade. WASHLET+ toilets feature a channel on the bowl surface to help conceal your WASHLET+ supply line and power cord for seamless integration. The Universal Height design allows for a more comfortable seat position across a wide range of users. The TOTO Aquia IV meets the standards for EPA WaterSense, and California's CEC and CALGreen requirements. The Aquia IV comes ready for install into a 12" rough-in, but may be adapted for a 10" or 14" rough-in with the purchase of a separately sold adapter. Includes a SoftClose toilet seat (#SS124). Additional items needed for installation and use must be purchased separately: wax ring, toilet mounting bolts, and water supply lines.

TOTO MS646124CEMFN#51 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Will the Toto Aquia IV one-piece toilet fit a 10 inch or 14 inch rough-in?
Out of the box the Aquia IV one-piece ships set up for a 12 inch rough-in. It can be adapted to a 10 inch or 14 inch rough-in with a TOTO adapter, TSU48.10 for the 10 inch and TSU48.14 for the 14 inch, both sold separately. If you are replacing an older fixture in a pre-1980s building where the closet flange sits 10 inches off the finished wall, order the adapter with the toilet, otherwise the skirted base will not sit back against the wall.
2) How much floor space does the Aquia IV one-piece toilet need, and how far does it project from the wall?
Plan on 27-5/8 x 15-3/16 x 28-3/8 inches for the Aquia IV one-piece. In a tight powder room or a code-driven clearance layout, the 15-3/16 inch figure is the one that decides whether it clears an adjacent vanity or side wall. The fixture weighs 118 pounds, so it is a two-person set in an upper-floor unit.
3) Is the Toto Aquia IV Universal Height toilet ADA compliant?
No. The Aquia IV Universal Height one-piece is not ADA compliant. Seat height measures 17-9/16 inches and rim height 16-1/8 inches. Universal Height gets you a taller, more comfortable seat than a standard bowl, but if you are specifying for an accessible stall or an ADA unit in a multi-family or healthcare project, you need a fixture carried as ADA compliant instead.
4) What else do I need to buy to install a Toto Aquia IV one-piece toilet?
The Aquia IV one-piece includes the SoftClose seat (#SS124), so that is not a separate line. What is not in the carton: wax ring, toilet mounting bolts, and the water supply line. Add a rough-in adapter too if the flange is at 10 or 14 inches rather than 12. For a multi-unit rollout, buy those three install items in bulk against your fixture count.
5) Does the Aquia IV meet WaterSense and California CEC and CALGreen water requirements?
Yes on all three. The Aquia IV is carried as CEC and CALGreen compliant and meets EPA WaterSense standards. The dual flush runs 1.28 GPF for solids and 0.9 GPF for liquids, which is what puts it inside California's limits. If you are pulling permits in California or chasing a green building credit, this is a fixture that clears the water requirement without a variance.
6) Is the Aquia IV a floor mounted toilet with a floor outlet, or does it discharge through the wall?
Floor mount, floor outlet. The Aquia IV one-piece sets on the closet flange in the slab or subfloor and discharges down, with a 12 inch rough-in and a 2-1/2 inch trapway. It will not work on a carrier or a wall outlet rough-in, so if the existing waste stub comes out of the wall you need a wall-hung or a rear-discharge fixture instead.
7) Can I add a bidet seat to the Toto Aquia IV later, or do I have to decide now?
You can wait. This version of the Aquia IV is WASHLET+ ready, built for a TOTO T40 WASHLET+ bidet seat. The bowl carries a channel that hides the WASHLET+ supply line and power cord, so the upgrade looks integrated rather than retrofitted. Practical consequence for the rough-in: if a bidet seat is anywhere in the plan, get an outlet within reach of the toilet while the wall is open. The included SoftClose seat covers you until then.
8) What is the difference between the CEFIONTECT and non-CEFIONTECT versions of the Aquia IV?
CEFIONTECT is TOTO's glaze option on the bowl, and the Aquia IV one-piece is sold both with it and without. The two are otherwise the same fixture, same dual flush at 1.28 and 0.9 GPF, same 12 inch rough-in, same Universal Height. The part number tells you which you have: MS646234CEMFGN#01 is a CEFIONTECT unit in Cotton White, MS646124CEMFN#51 is a non-CEFIONTECT unit in Ebony. If you are standardizing a building, pick one and stay with it so the housekeeping spec is the same on every floor.
9) How does a skirted one-piece toilet like the Aquia IV compare to a standard two-piece for a rental or high-traffic restroom?
Two reasons this shape wins in a property you have to maintain. The skirted trapway means no crevices between the bowl and the floor to scrub, and the one-piece body removes the tank-to-bowl joint entirely, which is where two-piece toilets leak from bolts and gaskets and where dirt collects. The tradeoff is handling, at 118 pounds it is heavier to carry up stairs than a two-piece you can bring in as two boxes. For a single unit swap that is fine; for a hundred-door rollout, plan the logistics.
10) Is the Aquia IV bowl elongated or round front?
Elongated. Combined with a 27-5/8 inch overall length, that is the deciding number in a small bathroom where the door swing or a facing vanity is close. If the existing fixture is a round front and you are going elongated, measure the clear floor in front of the bowl before you commit the order.
11) What colors and seat options does the Toto Aquia IV one-piece come in?
Two colors, Cotton White and Ebony, each available with or without CEFIONTECT glaze and with either a Standard or Slim seat profile. That is eight combinations in total, and every color pairs with both seat profiles. The Slim profile sits lower and reads flatter on the skirted body; Standard is the conventional SoftClose seat. Color matters for fleet work, Cotton White is the one that matches most existing installs.
12) Where is the flush button on the Toto Aquia IV, and can a tenant tell the two flush volumes apart?
Center mounted on the lid, a chrome dual flush push button rather than a side lever. One side gives 0.9 GPF for a rinse, the other 1.28 GPF for a heavier job. Center placement means no handing decision, it works the same whichever side of the fixture the wall is on, which is worth knowing when the same model is going into left and right hand bathroom layouts across a building.
