TOTO THP3012 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the TOTO THP3012 part used for?
THP3012 is a brass hose adapter with an EPDM rubber hose connector, used as the supply hose connection on TOTO 1/8 GPF EFV (electronic flush valve) urinal installations. It is the water supply link between the valve and the fixture, not a valve or a flush cartridge itself.
2) Is TOTO THP3012 the correct replacement hose for a 1/8 GPF EFV urinal?
Yes. THP3012 is TOTO's own part for the 1/8 GPF EFV application, so it matches the factory supply connector rather than being a generic braided line. Order it by the TOTO part number THP3012 to be sure you get the brass adapter with the EPDM hose attached.
3) Is the THP3012 hose rubber or braided stainless?
It is an EPDM rubber hose with a brass adapter fitting. EPDM is the flexible rubber compound TOTO specifies here; there is no stainless braid over it. That matters if you are used to seeing braided supplies, the appearance is different but this is the factory-specified connector for the application.
4) Does the THP3012 include the flush valve or just the hose?
Just the connector. THP3012 is the brass hose adapter and EPDM hose only, sold as a replacement part. The electronic flush valve, its solenoid, and the control box are separate items, so if the valve itself has failed this part will not fix it.
5) I manage a building with TOTO EFV urinals, can I stock this as a standard repair part?
Yes, that is what it is for. THP3012 is a single-configuration TOTO service part, one part number with no finish, length, or handing choices to get wrong, which makes it straightforward to keep on the shelf for EFV urinal supply connections across a facility.
