TOTO THP4365 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What thread size is the TOTO THP4365 set screw?
The THP4365 is a stainless steel set screw specified M4 x 0.7, L=6. In metric designation that is a 4 mm nominal diameter with a 0.7 mm thread pitch and a 6 mm screw length, which is the coarse standard pitch for M4. If the screw you are replacing measures anything other than 4 mm across the threads, it is not this part.
2) Is the THP4365 a whole TOTO shower head or just a small fastener?
It is a fastener, not a complete fixture. The THP4365 is the stainless steel M4 x 0.7 x 6 mm set screw used as a service part on TOTO bath and shower trim. If you need the shower head body itself, order the fixture part number instead of this screw.
3) What is the TOTO THP4365 part number for when ordering a replacement?
Order it by TOTO part number THP4365. That is the manufacturer's part number, and it is the number to quote when matching a TOTO shower trim replacement part rather than describing the piece.
4) Can a generic hardware store M4 set screw be used instead of the TOTO THP4365?
Dimensionally an M4 x 0.7 screw at 6 mm length matches, but the THP4365 is the stainless steel screw TOTO specifies for the trim, so drive style and head form are matched to the fixture. On a plated or finished shower trim, a plain steel substitute will rust in a wet location where stainless will not.
