TOTO THU9477 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What does the TOTO THU9477 deodorizer catalyst do on a Washlet?
The THU9477 is the replacement deodorizer catalyst cartridge for TOTO S300E and S350E Washlet seats. It's the consumable element in the seat's air deodorizer path, so when the deodorizing function stops knocking down odor, this is the part you swap rather than replacing the seat.
2) Is TOTO THU9477 a genuine TOTO part or an aftermarket deodorizer filter?
It's the TOTO factory part, ordered by manufacturer part number THU9477. For a property manager or facilities crew standardizing on Washlet seats across a building, ordering by that MPN is what keeps the same catalyst on every fixture instead of mixing in generic filters.
3) Do I need to order anything else with the THU9477, or is it a single part?
The THU9477 is sold as one item, a single deodorizer catalyst with no size, length, or finish choice to specify. There's nothing to configure on the order, just quantity, which makes it straightforward to buy several at once for a run of S300E or S350E seats.
